Casey Dienel's solo project Winter Hinterland offers ethereal, tender and impassioned dream-pop laced with R & B stylings all tied together with her extraordinary, idiosyncratic vocal talent that soars powerfully over her piano accompaniment. She has released her third album this year, "Baby," which is full of heavily emotive songs that swoon through the speakers, settling deeply into the depths of your soul. Through using loop pedals, drum machines and effects, she creates an expansive sound when performing live, pushing her compelling and commanding songs to further rousing levels. Her vocals are tremendously impressive, really drawing the audience in with her dynamic tone. Tracks like 'Metronome' slowly build into a heavy groove led by the distorted keys of her Nord, with howling vocals soaring over the top. 'Ring the Bell' recalls Bjork's electronica, with her voice also crating comparisons with the Icelandic singer. She is a passionate and heartfelt performer, bringing new light and character to her recorded music when playing live, making for a dynamic, riveting performance that communicates a soulful heaviness yet still an overall hopeful and uplifting energy that is inherent in her music. She is a truly terrific artist and it is an exciting tie for her career, which will surely develop and grow into greater majesty and success through her powerfully moving music.
White hinterland is a single female who is an American singer-songwriter and pianist. She released her debut album, Wind-Up Canary, in 2006. Her music falls into a pop theme that is feel good and relaxing. She tends to play her own instruments during concert and gives a nice show. White hinterlands concerts are the shows you go to and you could meet a good friend, I actually met someone local to me and we became great friends afterwards. We met in line while waiting for the show to start and we bonded so well. The music of White Hinterland brought us together like it was fate. When she came onto stage she interacted, talked, joked around with the crowd and appreciated everyone there to support her. She played a lot of her first album because that is the best music she does, but in my eyes all of her music is amazing. This concert was something I will never ever forget.
