Lust for Youth

Sometimes I feel I was born in the wrong era. I'm too young to have seen Depeche Mode play in dingy underground rooms in the late 70's, Visage play at the Blitz or Heaven 17. However, last night's Lust For Youth show at the 100 club seemed to have momentarily compensated for this. Like a lake in winter, their mega addictive new wave beats have churning, restless undercurrents topped by that icy austere surface; Amongst an audience of the Über chic & sombre looking, I find it hard not to let the music get to me... I don’t know when Lust For Youth are next playing in London, all I know is when they do, I will be there.

Great show. Wingtips from Chicago were a fantastic opener. Met the singer. Their song Lost Without U is amazing. Then LFY crushed it with all of their hits. Venue needs better and more clear vocals but the music was awesome!
