We had a very good time at the concert. The Music Hall staff were wonderful. Friendly and very helpful. I was happy to see the security checks of bags. The person checking the bags was friendly and thorough.
We did enjoy the performance but I felt like Derek was conducting an IRA fund raiser. Being of Irish decent, I have long been a big fan of Irish traditional folk music and play the Bodhran. I would have enjoyed a more variety of traditional music and less "rebel" music. I know that the original Wolfe Tones were big into patriotic (rebel) music. Derek kind of rambled a bit when talking which dragged on more the further the show progressed. To be honest, I could have listened to Damaris play various jigs and reels all night long. Loved listening to Hazel Ketcham perform. I salute Derek and the Young Wolfe Tones for their commitment to the preservation of Irish folk music and culture. I loved the layout of the music hall. We are planning to attend the Celtic performance.
