Pillowtalk are one of those bands that have a formulaic sound that draws some of the most engaging elements of styles such as disco, deep house, nu-disco and electro pop music, creating the most distinct sound, that makes audiences dance all over the world. They are made up of Sammy D, Ryan Williams and Michael Tello and all based out of San Francisco.
Seeing them do what they do best live is such a fantastic experience for anyone involved. “Far From Home” was such a highlight for me. There was definitely a touch of class that was doused upon their music, as they wear suits when they play, and perform a lot of what you hear live, such as keyboards and vocals. When you watch them, you just can’t help but dance along and sing your heart out. There is utter hysteria when they launch into their song “We all Have Rhythm”, which is such a good blend of electronic dance music, heavily inspired my boogie and disco music from the 70s, with huge vocal hooks making waves large enough to carry the whole crowd.
