Tunng are the folktronica band that create such vast soundscapes using acoustic guitars, samples, endorsing some stunning guitar techniques. Lyrics are ever so well put together, you can tell that they read literature. They have had a fantastic slew of singles over the last decade, despite being very much an album band. Tonight, they will perform a bucket load of these to the most hipster audience I think I’ve ever seen. I feel as though I just fit right in with by plaid/tartan shirt that is just simply three sizes to big for me. I feel as though everyone here owns at least two Tunng vinyls too. (Just checked the merch, there are definitely 7” singles available). The enchanting “Tale from Black” kicks everything off, this audience sways but listen to intently. It is truly a wonderful moment between audience and band. Tunng are very thankful throughout the set, almost apologizing for being there. “Hustle” closes the set in great style, lead by a sample and closed with a sample as the band as they say, leave it all on stage.
