Don Caballero

Don Caballero is one of my absolute favorite math rock bands, so when I found out I had a chance to see them perform live, I was all over it.Their music in general is so technically sound that I had no doubts that they would bring the house down, and they did.I saw them play in Pontiac Michigan in 2008.

Since they tour so intermittently, I was excited to be able to get a ticket.They played a pretty short set, but they went all out with it. I found myself lost in the guitar work, as is often the case with this band.They also were pretty hilarious in the small talk with the audience. They provided funny little quips about the crowd and made us all feel part of the show.

You could tell that these guys have been together a long time. Everything was played to perfection, and the live idiosyncrasies really put the show over the top for me.The next time I hear of them playing near me, I will drop whatever I am doing to make it happen. It was one of the best live shows I've been to in my life, and still talk about it with my friends to this day.
