Great show, great band with great songs.
Glad I got to see them so early in career, these guys are going to be huge.
My one negative comment is that they had *too* much audience participation. It seemed that on every song they were egging us on to do a certain ritual. That's OK when distributed throughout a set, but when it dominates it became a distraction.
Once their catalog is larger and they play longer songs this won't be a problem.
Be great to have more live components as well and rely less on samples, but with a limited budget I get it. Maybe get a guitar player and let Brandon just rip it on bass...
Great band and good show. See these guys now before you have to go to a huge arena....
Their set was entertaining to say the least! I have seen many many many concerts - but theirs was definitely one of the weirdest, most bazaar, entertaining set I've seen. The lead singer has a very distinct voice that is unique and enjoyable.
Their background visuals were interesting and Richie Brown, their visual/audio/dancer dude was extremely into his character. The next best for background visuals would be Portugal. The Man's live show. From nipple tassels, to pill stickers, and giant blow up hands, I will definitely seen this band again and recommend them.
Honestly, it was one of the best experiences. I got to talk to Brandon after the show - and let me tell you, KINDEST DUDE EVER. Seriously, if you have the chance, you should go to their concerts. I made about ten friends that night, and the entire crowd was totally into it. Also, all the props and visuals that Richie came up with really brought it all together. It was an awesome night overall.
Brick + Mortar has absolutely the best stage presence EVER. Not only do they get the crowd involved in the songs, they also just chat and tell you stories. You really get a sense of that you are experiencing something great - you are not just watching a show, you are experiencing it!
That, coupled with the great music, makes for a memorable night!
Super fun and amazingly entertaining! Besides the great music (which is top notch), they put together a visual show and performance that keeps things interesting. Definitely one of the best shows I've been to in a while and I'd go see these guys again and again.
They were super awesome. Lots of arts and crafts, props, costumes and crowd enough. Didn’t expect it to be so cool and interactive! Played some of their best songs, had really interesting videos playing behind.
Great band and show!
FANTASTIC SHOW!!!!! A+++++!!!!! Great musically and visually! Don't miss this band if they come to your town! Down to earth, fun, and meaningful music that translates to regular people. Thanks to Brick+mortar for the experience.
