TwentyTen Presents TEYR
Folk trio TEYR (‘3’ in the Cornish language) evolved out of the London session scene, combining their multiple instruments and voices in every innovative way they can muster. Heavily influenced by the great Irish, Scottish, English and Cornish musicians who’ve come before, they’ve honed their craft and thrived on weaving diverse threads together.
James Gavin (guitar, fiddle), Dominic Henderson (uilleann pipes, whistles) and Tommie Black-Roff (accordion) are three of London’s finest new breed of folk musician. After touring the UK & Ireland in 2015 and 2016 including appearances at Cambridge, Cecil Sharp House and numerous festivals, they look set to establish their name and their unique musical mix on the world in the year to come.
Featuring ten tracks of blistering originals and reworked ballads, Far From The Tree is a distillation of two years of playing, writing and wrangling. This highly anticipated debut album was recorded with the assistance of acclaimed producer Gerry Diver (Lisa Knapp, Sam Lee, Tom Robinson) and displays the full breadth of the trio’s innovative and distinctive sound.
