Bay City’s own Palomino Witchcraft is releasing their debut full-length album and Hell’s Half Mile is proud to present their release show, with special guests Prude Boys and PALACES. As if the music alone wasn’t reason enough to come out, the event is doubling as a pizza party with Brooklyn Boyz Pizza supplying the pies!
The gig at BeMo’s on Saturday, March 25, will mark the first occasion to buy Palomino Witchcraft’s “Dark Places” CD. If you’re unfamiliar with the band, they offer a reflective, heady dose of indie rock with just the right amounts of classic emo touchstones, experimentation, and hooks. The Hamtramck trio Prude Boys crafts an energizing stew of surf-tinged garage rock, while Detroit’s PALACES champion a unique mix of shoegaze, ‘80s synth flourishes, and lo-fi psychedelia (their new album, “New Hollywood Emotion”, drops Feb. 17). It’s quite the triPPPle threat.
Doors open at 8 p.m., but get there early while the pizza lasts. Check out the groups' Bandcamp pages here:
