Fi7i

One of the latest additions to HOAXVISION, Fi7i has been making waves on Youtube subtly, but surely. The 21- year- old stole the spotlight when he first released his edit of Sheila Majid’s Sinaran about a year ago, garnering the attention of disco pioneers Dangerdisko. The old timers were too fascinated by this version that they swapped their edit of Sinaran with his and included his edit in their sets.

Fi7i is influenced by the Malay music of the 70's to 80's that he grew up listing to, and those of the modern days vaporwave/electrofunk anime clad music which includes producers such as Aritus, Desired, Night Tempo and Macross 82-99. He's bound to get you surfing the vaporwave of Future Funk.

DANGERDISKO

This duo of synth lovers consists of Farez Khan and Shaheed Naz, both are known as South East Asia's princes of indie dance a.k.a DANGERDISKO. They are Kuala Lumpur's main purveyors of fine dirty disco and obscure new wave. Known throughout the scene for having a unique and edgier sound, they are recognized regionally as one of the pioneers of the eclectic disco sound that is visible in their live sets/productions.

Heavily influenced by retro revivalists, the indie dance scene, a whole lot of anime and Daft Punk, the only thing you could expect from their sets are the unexpected.

Lionel Rizki

Lionel Rizki has always been immersed into the local music scene, starting out as a roadie, a music photographer, a VJ and now a DJ! As a selector, his favoured sound is a range of disco and electronic sounds with groovy beats, horns and synths from the late 70s that’s guaranteed to get the dance floor down to boogie. As a Japanophile , audiences are often treated to the odd city pop single, Shibuya kei track and event themes from recent Nippon productions. Expect Indonesian disco to be included into his selections inspired by his recent rediscovery of his hometown.
