Shores Of Acheron is a fully independent progressive deathcore outfit from Baton Rouge, LA. Forming in 2012, the band released its first debut EP titled “End Of Reign” with themes of governmental tyranny coupled with heavy riffing, blistering fast drums, and distinguished guttural vocals. 
 In the following year, Shores Of Acheron played on the Sumerian Records Stage at Mayhem Festival, supporting headliner acts, Rob Zombie, Five Finger Death Punch, Mastodon, and Amon Amarth. Throughout the rest of this year and 2014 the band focused strongly on gigging regionally and seeking any opportunity for tours. 
 During the summer of 2015 Shores Of Acheron would release its second record “Ira”, a Latin translation of the English word “Anger” or “Wrath”. This record would encompass a heavier and more dissonant tone, including more tyrannical undertones as well as themes of emotional anger. 
 After the release of their final single “Mind’s Eye” in 2016, Shores Of Acheron would break for what seemed like an indefinite hiatus. However, the band would inevitably return to the metal community in 2021 with a full length album announcement.
