EG Vines

Channeling the melodic alt-rock of the 90s paired with the high energy aura of the punk scene, EG Vines brings the audience a lyric-forward offering that is simultaneously captivating, dynamic, and thought-provoking. He released his first full-length record in 2019, the roots rock labeled Family Business, followed by the atmospheric alt rock/indie Through the Mirror in 2021 earning attention from NPR, Rolling Stone, and Billboard while playing 100+ dates from Texas to New England. The band will be releasing their highly anticipated third album later this year.

The Southern Ocean

The Southern Ocean is not shy about embracing the emo label. But the D.C.-based band is certainly not constrained by it, incorporating an equal dose of soaring post-rock and even some of the finely aged elements of ’90s alternative rock. Their Radians EP, released in spring 2021, shows the band continuing to expand its sonic palette and dynamic range, with an attention to detail that has yielded the truest representation of TSO’s sound to date.

Cuni

cuni is a punk/emo/noise pop band from the DMV. Initially started by Jared Cunanan with the release of the saturn EP in 2020, cuni has since expanded to a full band setup and has been tearing through the dc music scene.Their latest single, "didymus", signifies a sonic change that takes the lessons learned from the previous work and cranks it to 11, incorporating dreamy guitars, new-wave-inspired lead riffs, and hardcore breakdowns. It's like if DIY emo got really into shoegaze, but had a weird skramz phase and was also terminally online.
