National Opera is a Leicester-based music collective with a sound that lies somewhere at the crossroads of dream-pop and dance music. Sharp and occasionally club-friendly electronica is enrobed in a wash of drifting guitars and synthesisers, as vocalist Cahill's introspective - and often prescient - lyrics strike an emotional chord offset from the otherwise bright arrangements.
