Catchy melodies and an infectious groove are the common thread running through this mass of demolition of genre boundaries. This punishingly innovative trio offers a spirited, slightly humorous blend of modern jazz and krautrock with joyously deranged samples.

Bassist-guitarist Giotis Damianidis, saxophonist-flutist-keyboardist Viktor Perdieus and drummer Jakob Warmenbol have been proving since 2018 that they have talent to spare and, as co-writers, know well enough what they want to make.

Frolic Acid

With heavy riffs, angular grooves, explorative solos and surreal lyrics, Frolic Acid is a new collaborative project comprising of Katy Trigger (Backyard Rhythm Orchestra, MSK) on bass and vocals, Evan Abel (Baghdaddies) on saxes and melodica, and Nik Alevroyiannis (Baghdaddies) on kit and percussion. Taking inspiration from the worlds of prog, jazz and Latin (among many others), their sound is infused with distortion and a touch of raw aggression, for a dynamic and eclectic sonic experience.
