“Heart music. Heartcore. That’s what we call the music we make, because it comes from the heart—and that’s where we hope it will land.”

2024 was the year Aksel Krystad met Robin Howard, and they started 2AM-DM, signing a management deal with Indianer, a record deal with Sony Music, a booking agreement with Polar Artist, and a publishing deal with Kobalt.

In October, they released their debut single “We Both Smoke Again.” The song was added to New Music Friday in more than 15 countries, including the US and the UK. They landed the cover of ung, dum og lovende, were put into rotation on P1, and celebrated it all by playing a sold-out show at Harlem in Oslo, followed by an equally sold-out Pet Sounds Bar in Stockholm.

“A guaranteed success both before and after 2 a.m.” – Dagsavisen on “We Both Smoke Again.”

“A pop-rock song with wide wings and monumental drive, reminiscent of all the best bands that reigned in the early 2000s.” – Dagsavisen on “We Both Smoke Again.”

2AM-DM has a concept and sound rooted in the band pop of the 2000s that originally sparked their love for music, with references such as Coldplay, The Killers, and Keane. Aksel and Robin—both from Oslo, both in their twenties, and with backgrounds from different music studies and projects—are searching for something intuitive and honest.

“A shooting-star duo on the rise.” – 730.no

“The song is permeated by an honest vulnerability, and the emotions they convey linger in the heart.” – p3.no on “Hypotheticals.”

2AM-DM kicked off 2025 with new single releases and performances at Byscenen during Trondheim Calling, as support for Nothing But Thieves at Sentrum Scene, The Wombats at Rockefeller, and a concert at The Social in London. The debut album arrived on September 26 2025 ❤
