FOR BREAKFAST are a cathartic and exploratory band from London. From their first EP Songs in the Key of O (2020) they have proved too interesting a band to follow a straight path – a tapestry of psychedelia, noise rock, jazz and post rock bursting its stitches, it garnered praise from Clash, The Quietus and Loud and Quiet. Their follow-up Trapped in the Big Room (2022) was recorded at an abandoned Cold War air base in Suffolk and allowed the band to further enrich the fabric of their sound, leading to plaudits from So Young, Hard of Hearing, John Kennedy (Radio X), and a place in The Quietus’ top tracks of 2022.
The band have been steadily honing their live set, building a reputation for mesmerising performances across stages such as Portals Festival, Sounds From the Other City, Supersonic Block Party, Left of the Dial and a tour with LA psych legends Wand in 2024. With a sound that’s impossible to pin down, they have performed with a wide range of acts like Pozi, Memorials, Drahla, Pale Blue Eyes, Orchards, Divorce, Plantoid, Sophie Jamieson, Polymath and CLT DRP.
