With the passing of James Brown, Tomar takes the mantle of “Hardest Working Man in Show Business”. He started in his 2 piece suit, then after a single short break lost the suit coat, then in the last hour (!) serenaded us in his T shirt after completely soaking through his dress shirt!
They played from about 945 to 1230 with one short break in between. It was great. His voice was as strong at the end as in the beginning. Guitar player has some serious chops as well. Organist was good too but needs a better amp as unless he was intentionally playing softly it was pretty distorted- I’d say the same but to a lesser extent for Tomar’s amp as well but not sure if that was Luna’s or his equipment.
Just a great, fun show. A black singer backed by 4 white guys performing to a mixed race and very appreciative audience- who says America hasn’t changed?
Keep it rockin and see you next time you’re at Luna, Tomar!
