John Otway & The Big Band

Been a couple of years since seeing the legendary Otway and the Big Band. Took this opportunity at 100 club as there is 'new material' (Ooooo!) on the new CD Montserrat. They played 2 sets with 30ish mins gap in the middle.

Three new songs were aired off the new album "Seagulls on Speed", "Dancing With Ghosts" & "I Shouldn't Be Doing This" - all expertly played by the band.
Other than that "the set remains the same" with the usual classics, "flowers", "cheryl", "Really Free", "Bunsen Burner", "Delilah" "HOTRS" etc.

Good gig, nice atmosphere, fun and funny as usual.

Would like to have heard some of the other new material too. I'm sure 'Real Tears' & "Somewhere Else To Go" for instance would be playable live and easy to incorporate.
