From loud acoustic, to louder three piece, and onwards as an even huger-sounding new band, Oxygen Thief has been playing riffs under this name for two decades now.
This show is an all dayer with some of my favourite bands and solo performers that I've met over the last twenty years.
1pm - 10pm
Saturday 26th September
The Croft, Bristol
First lineup announcement:
Oxygen Thief (full band)
Ben Marwood (acoustic)
Jim Lockey (acoustic)
Sarah Carey (acoustic)
Oli Duerden (acoustic)
+more bands and acoustic acts to follow.
An amazing venue, with an amazing line up and strong pre-sales meant that a winner was always on the cards. All the artists had to do was turn up and play.
Because of the nature of the environment not only were the acts able to perform with confidence but after the show they all had dedicated new fans.
Jim knocked his set outta the park. What a guy! Managing to look younger than the last time we saw him, he played some old classics, some new Solemn Sun tunes and all the belters of Death.
Jim has always been one of the best UK underground acts, even to this day those songs have stood the test of time.
