Animal Collective and Avey Tare

I've seen Animal Collective twice. Both times in 2013. The first time I saw them was at The Bonnaroo Music & Arts festival in Manchester, TN. They took the stage at 2:00am and for the next two hours I experienced pure bliss. My Girls and Brother Sport live are two of the greatest moments of my life - I've never seen a crowd more into a show. The rest of this show was amazing as well. One of the best shows I've ever seen (I've seen a lot). Their most recent album was Centipede HZ, but the set didn't focus on this material. It was more of a career spanning set. Purple Bottle and What Would I Want? Sky were other highlights. The second time I saw them was at the Midland in Kansas City. This show was great as well, but it didn't quite capture the Bonnaroo magic. This set focused more on Centipede HZ material (which is one of my least favorite Animal Collective albums).
Both shows they had the same trippy and psychedelic stage. It suits their music perfectly.
