With his new album EMBRACE, Malo Moray celebrates slowness and curiosity with unmatched depth and clarity. The album was created on tour in 2024—conceived and recorded in an intimate setting before just two dozen people.

On the Album Release Tour, Malo Moray now dives deeply—with double bass and electronics, in a state of infectious alertness and calm—into the worlds between Ambient, Krautrock, and Jazz, generating a pull that is truly extraordinary. Music as an embrace of being; improvised lyrics that sink straight into the subconscious. Malo Moray’s art is a revelation of creativity and deceleration—curious deep listening music beyond genre boundaries. He radiates his philosophy with captivating presence: curious listening as a counter-design to our uprooted zeitgeist. The result is profoundly moving concert experiences somewhere between Brian Eno, Faust, Sunn O))), and the Soundwalk Collective—yet in an utterly unique sonic language.
Malo Moray is an award-winning Leipzig-based double bassist, theater composer, producer, and performer. He works across disciplines in Ambient, Krautrock, Psychedelic, Jazz, and Sound Design. With his oscillating band Malo Moray & His Inflatable Knee, he explores deep immersion into the self as a response to our uprooted age. He recently composed for theater productions in Munich (Grimme Award winner Thomas Darchinger) as well as commissions in Leipzig and Gotha. His previous album ATOLLS, produced by Grammy Award winner Marc Urselli (Lou Reed, Nick Cave, Laurie Anderson…), was praised as “the cosmic psychedelic album of the year!” (MINT Magazine) and won multiple awards (Fedrigoni Top Award Milan, Poppreis Sachsen, Kulturfunke Prize 2025).
