Joe Brown is one of those artists who never fail to entertain and provide good value for money. This was the second time we have seen him, the previous occasion about 8 years ago. In addition to his own hits, on this tour Joe and the band are featuring tracks from the Ukulele album which included well know hits form other artists such as Elbow, Motorhead and the Who with distinctive arrangements.
Joe must be recognised as one of the great instrumentalists based on the number of instruments and styles he can play well. The rest of the band also contributed immensely with their great playing on various instruments. Their own Blue Grass treatment of songs was well received. We will not forget Phil the drummer and his exceptional renditions of two Elvis numbers. All together an exceptionally entertaining evening of musing interspersed with Joe's own humour which kept us smiling well after it ended. Kev Lincoln
