Afrogrooves

Afrogrooves is thrilled to play with master balafon player Djiby Diabate, and is bringing West Africa to the Zaanstreek! We will be joined by not only Djiby, but the excellent musicians Mamour Seck (drums, Senegal) , Benson Itoe (bass, Cameroon), and Ibou Ndong (djembe, Senegal), among others.
This amazing festival highlights the richness of African culture and features a market, activities for kids, a drumcircle, balafon, kora and dance workshops, and performances by many artists.
