Henry Rollins and James Spooner

You never really know what you’re going to get when you go to see Henry Rollins. Known for his somewhat provocative opinions, Henry stands up in front of crowds and tells it like it is. Many of his stories are about his past life as a musician, touring as part of the punk rock band Black Flag and then leading the Rollins Band, but he doesn’t only talk about himself. He provides social commentary on a variety of topics and intersperses it with comedy, both spoken and physical. Henry’s known for his spoken word, so his performances are told in the form of a story, rather than a stand-up comedian telling unrelated strings of jokes. He’s been in the entertainment industry in some way or another for something like 30 years, trying everything from music to radio, voice work, and tv acting. Nowadays he mainly sticks to acting and touring and its evident in his performances that he’s a gifted actor. He is so animated and engaging to watch that you don’t even realize how long you’ve been sitting there. You end up completely immersed in his story.
