Música Aperta is an electroacoustic, audiovisual, and immersive performance that explores the perception of time through sound, built around string textures, pedal organ, tape, and electronics.
The visual piece, created with found footage from early 1900s microscope films by biologist Percy Smith, creates a poetic and minimalist world of slowly transforming light and organic forms. The experience invites the audience into a contemplative listening experience. It was presented at MUU Helsinki Contemporary Art Centre, the Rezone Festival (Slovakia) and Artlab (Argentina), amongst others.
