Want to keep the summer vibe going all year round? Look no further than alt- rock band Anarbor from Phoneix, Arizona.
Starting in a garage, the band gained popularity through relentlessly playing shows in their area while still attending high school. After self-releasing their first EP, Anarbor caught the attention of their future label, Hopeless Records. Their first release with Hopeless “The Natural Way” saw them enter the Top Singles Albums Billboard chart at number 6, not bad going! Subsequent album releases “Free Your Mind”, “The Words You Swallow” and “Burnout” provided the platform for Anarbor to step up their live performances. The band spent much of their time touring with similar bands such as The Summer Set and You, Me, & Everyone We Know and Vans Warped Tour favourites collecting more fans along the way.
Aptly opening their sets with “Let the Games Begin”, one of their more popular tracks, they whip the crowd into a frenzy as soon as Slade Echeverria sings the first note. Attentively fans hang on to every word, singing from the top of their lungs and at the request of Echeverria jumping with all their might to tracks such as “Every High Has a Comedown” and “Brightest Green”, each song is met with rapturous applause. Intimate settings see Echeverria take a moment to strip the set back and play their more chilled repertoire with just him and a guitar, sometimes joined by a guest vocalist, really showcasing the rawness and incredible talent that the band possess.
Perfecting the balance between chilled and good fun pop/alt-rock, Anarbor pull out all the stops to put on one heck of a memorable show.
Great sound and good performance. They were an incredible band with lots of energy and musicianship to back it up. We really enjoyed it. The set had a good mix of old and new but I wish they'd played more from their new album.
