Reckless Kelly: putting Texas on the map since 1997. These guys are real country. Not Taylor Swift country. But pure, red dirt ‘Texas country’ country. Led by brothers Willy and Cody Braun and also comprising of members David Abeyta, Jay Nazz and Joe Miller, Reckless Kelly are awesome live. No flashy gimmicks are needed with this lot. Standing on stage with nothing but the instruments in their hands and a sense of authentic country bliss, Reckless Kelly compelled the audience with a selection of crooners: from slow and sad ballad ‘1952 Vincent Black lighting’ which they covered brilliantly, to the more upbeat yet equally sad ‘Nobody’s girl’ to the equally upbeat and thankfully not sad ‘Wiggles and Ritalin’. What is perhaps most enjoyable about watching Reckless Kelly live is the all too apparent thrill the band get from performing: a thrill that translates and is reciprocated by the audience. The concert was high energy, fun and felt authentically country. The guitar solos were out of this world and a particular highlight was when the harmonica and fiddle were suddenly brought on stage by Cody Braun, displaying just how multi-talented the band was. For any country or even rock fans, these guys are a must see.
Reckless Kelly is the best band in country music and they didn't disappoint last night in Berwyn. The set came from the entire canon of the band's existence. Their new guitar player adds a harder rock edge to the sound, yet the band continues to build on an existing excellence in performance.
I've seen the band regularly for, at least, ten years and always travel to hear them. This was an amazing performance. I loved every minute
Reckless Kelly 8/3 State Room Salt Lake City UT...WOW...just wow...the band was tight and played all of their hits...they even played songs from their new CD...when they broke into their version of the Dire Straits classic "Romeo and Juliet" I just about lost it...venue is magnificent and the band was awesome...they even met their fans after the show...HIGHLY recommended...
Exceptional, they just keep getting better with age , there shit is legit. Jeff Crosby was equally as good , excellent performer, crack band, rarely is the opening act equal to the headliner, but both bands hit on all cylinders. I ‘m 73 years young and it takes a lot to get me out on a weekday, they did not disappoint, cooler n hell.
This was an intimate and quaint concert for Reckless Kelly. I loved that they played their music and some from inspirational artists that they admired. I was extremely pleased with the entire show, atmosphere, and venue. They put on a great show! Thanks Peachtree Entertainment!
I've seen RK more than any other band, and as usual, they were fantastic! Both sets were completely different. I loved the change-up to acoustic.
Also, be on the look-out for some new, amazing covers.
Great show, a lot of fun.Very entertaining, almost 4 hours from the 3 bands. Bought a Jeff Crosby CD, will buy a Reckless Kelly CD, would go see either act again. A good night.
Great show, great energy!
Can’t wait for new album
Eddie’s Last Hurrah and Seven Nights in Eire we’re best. Would have liked to hear Ballad of Tommy and Marla live
