The tide came in with a seagull on the evening of 28th March 2019, along with a wonderful unplugged set of blues and entertaining anecdotes of life on the road curtosy of Mr Ian Siegal performing alone on stage with his trusty steel and set based around the latest album 'All the Rage' (nugene records). Along with other music from other artists including the great Jason Isbell and the new song from Siegal 'Dead Sea Captain' based on the true story of a tourist barge captain taking to the high seas with a canal barge of tourists off the coast of the Netherlands. A true story that I was surprised to hear Ian recall.
Thank you to Ian Siegal for for such an entertaining evening, thanks also to Alan, Lisa and Sid for the experience.
Cheers!
Ivor
I'd seen Ian Siegal three times before this concert, but for those ones he'd had his band, so it was pretty exciting to see an acoustic solo gig!
He was on great form. A great performer as well as a great musician. We were treated to some highly amusing stories, as well as a really good selection of his own songs, and covers of his friends' and inspirations' songs, and a brief impression of Jon Snow from Game of Thrones.
