Aqualung

Aqualung is a singing songwriter and a musician from Southampton, England who has performed since the early 2000's. His real name is Matt Hales and he began writing songs on the piano at age 4. He has been writing music ever since. He formed a band after studying music composition at Yale university in 1990 which consisted of his brother, Ben Hales, Matt Vincent-Brown, and Stephen Cousins. They underwent several name changes as they struggled to find themselves as artists when in early 2002 Ben became Aqualung.

The transformation from singing in a band to a solo artist did Matt some good and his first single, "Strange and Beautiful (I'll Put a Spell on You)", was received really well. He has since been releasing music under the solo act Aqualung with success every since and brings a special kind of magic with his performances.

Aqualung's music has been featured in many different television productions including the hit series "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" and the motion picture "A Lot Like Love". He even wrote and produced "Cold" which featured himself and Lucy Schwartz and appeared on the soundtrack of the film "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn". Aqualung is a master of the performing art of playing the piano and singing which he makes seem so natural.

His concerts are very moving, emotional experiences because the intensity of his personality and voice are relentless.
