Hearing bands from all around Europe and how they’re styles vary is really interesting, and the indie rock band Supersubmarina are an awesome rocky Spanish band that really put Spain on the map for this genre of music. It’s crazy that the band never intended to be professional performers and were just a group of friends, but they’ve done incredibly well for themselves so far on their musical journey.
They opened their show with some intense lighting, and ran out on stage with their instruments to tumultuous applause. They opened the show with their track Galactic Elastic and had the whole audience singing along right away. Everyone was cheering and egging them on, and they played some awesome instrumental solos in their tracks that don’t appear on the recordings. They’re an insanely talented bunch, and it becomes even more evident when you see them live.
They played through a great selection of their music with great tracks such as Puta Vida, which they got everyone to sing along with, and they even played a load of tracks from their new album, Headwind, which was awesome to hear live as it’s so new. It was such a fun evening and I’d definitely see them live again.
