Ufomammut delivered a stunning show. One of, if not the heaviest doom band alive today, and with 8 albums under their belt, Ufomammut delivers massive soundscapes with both attitude and precision. Heavy grooves keep your head banging while psychedelic injections play tricks with your mind.
Ufomammut primarily played songs from their new album "8", but also gave the audience a few choice morsels from ages past. The new songs went over great live. They contain a smattering of epic riffs while also making clever use of odd time-signatures. Enough so to leave this old progger impressed and wanting more. The older songs where more straightforward, but still crazy good.

I was unsure how these guys would be live, but about 30 seconds in to it I realized the truth: they were born for live. The played without a break really - shortest pause before the encore ever. They destroyed the guitar and drums - pure brutal intensity and power. I might go to Phoenix to see them again...
