Inspired by their early love of house music, from a young age Adam took an interest in producing but it was the addition of George’s passion for instruments which really pushed Bondax to new heights. Starting with remixes it wasn’t long before Kaye and Townsend took a step into producing original material and the pair began pouring their heart and soul into the new project creating a refreshing R&B infused and ambient dreamlike sound bleeding through genre divides.
The release of singles “Enter/You’re So” and “Baby I Got That” in 2012 helped put the lads on the map, with excitement coming in at all angles as they dominated dancefloors across the country. With the support of BBC Introducing Lancaster, the duo landed primetime air play on Radio 1 with Nick Grimshaw and Annie Mac which naturally saw their popularity sky rocket and their Soundcloud profile blossom.
The pair have developed their incredible live performances playing clubs and raves as they’ve travelled around mainland Europe, Australia , U.S. whilst playing a selection of festivals such as: Creamfields, Bestival and Beacons Festival bringing their uplifting, energetic and joyous sound.
In 2012, Townsend and Kaye started their own label Just Us Recordings with its first release lying in the hands of producer Karma Kid with the single “Always”. Bondax continued to smash out insatiable tracks in 2013 in the form of “Gold”, “Wet Summer” and “Giving It All”. The single “All I See” released in 2014 perfectly encapsulated a chilled and euphoric summer vibe, which Bondax have a great knack for. The duo continue to experiment with soul inspired samples as they look forward to progressing and solidifying their definitive sound.

There is a lot of room for variation in performances when it comes to electronic music, as they have a lot of leeway in their production process and how they envision people reacting to their music. BONDAX plays some deep house beats with a bit of a future garage sound, which results in some really great dancing music.
The beats are so crisp and energetic that it almost seems impossible for anyone in the crowd to keep from dancing, so the result is an interactive audience that really sets up a great atmosphere and vibe for the entire length of the show.
As with most DJ’s and producers, they go all out for making their show stand out and really grab all of the senses. From moving lights and special effects to the actual movements and emotions they personally display, this whole show showed a blend of careful attention to detail and creativity.
It results in something that really breaks down the barrier between feeling comfortable and having fun, and that seems to speak well to the audience. Sometimes it can feel downright awkward to be in the middle of audiences at shows like these, but the music was so catchy and enjoyable here that it never felt that way at all.
Lancaster duo Bondax are considered to be one of the most exciting British dance exports in many years. Following on from the likes of Disclosure and Gorgon City, the boys are considered to be the next big things in alt-electro and future garage and they have so far developed an all consuming live show to stand up against this growing reputation.
Still to release a debut album, they have collated a setlist of their high quality singles and mixes for other artists and have been a huge draw across the UK festival scene for the majority of 2014. Dropping in a mix of 'I Got You' by Duke Dumont sends energy soaring to new heights as the whole crowd jump along like a moving dance music sea. It is an impressive sight to see two new electro musicians command crowds of this size and the debut album is likely to only elevate their reputation and the show to dizzying new heights.
