I saw Pino Daniele in concert in Washington DC at the Howard Theatre and I have to say that I was absolutely blow away. The concert was amazing and just overall a really great time. The concert was very well choreographed and had fantastic musicians especially the keyboarder I felt he did exceptionally well.
Since I was not really familiar with some of Pino's more recent recordings, his bluesy and jazzy set was just magnificent. I saw a move from before and it really reminded me about Pino Daniele's singing of the rich culture of Napolitan songs. Since I actually speak some Italian and thanks to the large presence of so many of the Italians that actually came out for the concert, it really felt like being in Italy! I was so happy that was the atmosphere. Also my favorite moment of the night was the encore that Pino did because it really was what we all wanted.
If you have never listened to Daniele's music before I think you really should go listen to it before coming out to a live concert because sometimes it is not for everyone. But if you have heard of his music before you have to go check out a live performance because you will not be disappointed.
