Jan Smit

Jan Smit, securing his first number one at the tender age of twelve and now twenty eight, no question should be asked as to whether you should see this man or not! From the Netherlands, Jan Smit is a pop artist by name and a hit maker by melody. Jan Smit strolled on stage and I am not sure if I were the only lad in the audience, but I could distinctly hear from every angle females screaming out for him and they got even louder when he done his very distinctive smile and squint eye, as if in a Clint Eastwood Western, it was obvious at this point the women came for his looks but the guys, well we came for his music. As the women eventually hushed he began singing the sweet song 'Leeg om je Heen' a soothing song, the barrier of language means nothing to and that is what I enjoy about Jan Smit even though I don't understand a word he says, it is not important as it is how he says it along with the sounds of the instrumentation. Language should never be a restriction when it comes to good music and that is exactly what you get from Jan. It must be true as he is a talented individual as he has been and is; a tv host, the voice of Eurovision in 2012 and even in actor in a hit Dutch movie. When the opportunity arises to see Jan Smit take it or you will regret missing the opportunity.
