Natalie La Rose spent much of her childhood singing and dancing with her sister before attending Amsterdam’s Lucia Marthas Dance Academy where she studied both disciplines. Following her graduation in 2008, La Rose landed the role of Taylor Mckessie in the Dutch musical version of “High School Musical”. This success left the singer determined to pursue a music career and La Rose subsequently moved to Los Angeles, California, U.S. and inked a deal with Background Records with musical duo Amsterdam with Sigourney Korper. The partnership didn’t last long however and La Rose utilised her dancing skills by appearing in Lloyd’s music video of “Dedication to My Ex (Miss That)” in 2011.
The same year La Rose approach Flo Rida at an ESPY Awards afterparty, and impressed by her confidence, invited the young singer to the studio. La Rose spent the next two years touring constantly and honing her vocal abilities, which culminated in signing with Flo Rida’s International Music Group and Republic Records in 2013. Two years later the singer earned her international breakthrough with her debut single “Somebody”. Featuring Def Jam’s Jeremih, the single peaked at No. 2 on the UK Singles Chart, No. 10 on the Billboard 200, and No. 12 on the Australian Singles Chart. Catapulting La Rose to international recognition she supported the release by opening on Fifth Harmony’s Reflection Tour alongside Debby Ryan and Bea Miller. In June 2015, in collaboration with singer Fetty Wap, La Rose issued her sophomore single “All Around the World”, featuring production from Max Martin.
