STEPHEN EVENS
Post-punk, art-rock troubadour Stephen EvEns delivers his poetic beatnik style vignettes of life, infused with a joyful glint of glamour, crackling beats, swooping guitars and a huge dose of brilliantly composed skronk, as he muses on everyday happenings, all topped off with an eccentric and ironic slice of candour.
New album Weekend At Bernie's 2 out next year, but contribute £10 to the tour via PayPal account Stephen EvEns Music and get the download absolutely free (but for £10).
“New wave poetics, dry, surreal and amusing, against music that matches cheap tech with post-punk skronk,’ The Arts Desk
‘A wonk fest glittered with a dirty glam sound that reminds me of Brix & The Extricated.’ LTW
‘A post-punk bovver-boy groove, heavy bass, and shrewdly astute lyrics,’ Harmonic Distortion

EMILY JONES
Emily Jones was originally woven from reeds in a salt marsh in Cornwall, but these days she lives high up on the chalk downs in Wiltshire. Most of her songs are about dust or bees.
Currently she is working on a new project, putting some of the poems of E Nesbit to music - a cheery collection of songs about grief and love and longing.
"Particularly lovely romantic folk narratives with a dark-woods chill of pastoral melancholy" - MOJO
"Wistful and melancholic at times but always with a subtle warmth and gentleness, there is genuine sense of magic and wonder in these songs" - The Active Listener
