Deux Furieuses headlined the uniqulture punk show on Tin Pan Alley (Denmark Street, Central London) in fine, formidable and fantastic style. Ros (guitar/vocals) and Vas (drums/vocals) proved themselves one of the UK's most exciting alternative rock experiences. Their music is as dynamic as their "riot grrls + then some" articulation. A month after this show, Deux Furieuses (two furies) release their double furious 'Can We Talk About This?' (after UK and Russian dates). It is already a pick of the week / month in various media and rightly so. Fuelled vitriol hasnt sounded this exciting in a long time. Yes, people are celebrating that "rock is back", but the fact is, it never went away, just off the main stream radar of processed, misogynist pop videos sanitised to the point of acceptability with nothing to say. Industrially powerful, this is something else and something that the UK excels at. Listen to deux furieuses, you'll be thrilled ("Like Patti Smith and the best of The Kinks" said legendary punk, Bruno Wizard of The Homosexuals, who was right down the front). The crowd cheered long and hard until the band came back on stage. deux furieuses are THAT good. And then some.
