Slam

For anyone who was a fan of the underground electro scene of the 90s need to see Slam live as soon as possible. Hailing from Glasgow, the DJ/Producer duo Stuart MacMillan and Orde Meikle are still touring to this day after catching their break after one of their early acid tracks was played on a late night radio show.
In an era where Britain's electro and garage scene was prospering, the duo found fame through the release of singles such as 'Positive Education', 'Eterna', and 'Lifetimes'. They also took up residency at T in the Park due to their Scottish heritage which raised their profile further and they worked their live shows to huge crowds across the festival site.
Years later their live show is just as dynamic, still possessing some of the moody underground atmosphere of their roots, it works particularly well in the tented arenas of festivals. They played a storming set at 2008's Bestival as they were mixing for Radio 1 at the time which translated into a personal invitation from organiser and fellow DJ Rob Da Bank.
This duo are a real piece of 90's electro history and their live show is a great amount of fun so get your tickets, your reebok classics and your glow sticks ready.
