The dup started making music in 2009, with their song, "Galaxy" appearing on the "Acts of Mad Men" release by Viper Recordings. The duo have since released a number of singles and a whole host of successful remixes, as well as two EPs of their original productions. Their bass-heavy productions showcase a strong drum & bass influence, as well as dropping back to two-step and dubstep, becoming hugely popular on the US festival circuit.
In 2012, they released their debut EP, "Down the Rabbit Hole," which featured the popular hit single, "Get By," which stormed the UK Dance Charts, peaking at number 37. The popular house producers, Gorgon City, also took to the song, producing a remix which received substantial airplay. The EP was released on RAM Records.
Delta Heavy's music found huge popularity on bass music promoter, UKF's Youtube channel. Their singles have received millions of plays on the website, with "Demons" reaching two million, "Hold Me" four million and their animated music video for "Get By" reaching over five million plays.
Following a successful tour in support of Sub Focus, his North American "Torus" tour, Delta Heavy released their second EP, "Apollo," in 2014, also on RAM Records, continuing to find strong support of their music.
I guess that maybe one could say that this dubstep/drum and bass outfit, Delta Heavy are like London’s answer to Daft Punk, probably just a little bit more underground. Literally underground in this dark, 200 capacity venue in East London. They have created remixes for Rita Ora, Tinie Tempah, Avicii, DJ Fresh, Nero and Example! This band, creating a buzz in the EDM scene, has reached such success. Ben Hall and Simon James are a humble pair taking to the stage to deliver a very intimate set of some of their biggest singles. “Space Time/Take the Stairs”, opens this set with a bang seeing people hitting the ceilings and walls every time a huge drop happens, in appreciation for the duo. “I Used to Have it All”, is a fantastic mid set mixer, as it changes the pace of the evening. “Get By” the single that has reached over five and a half million on their YouTube page brings down the house when they deliver it, this evening - Great musicality indeed.
