For more than three decades, James Blundell has been a defining voice in Australian music — a storyteller whose songs have become part of our national soundtrack. Blundell stands tall as one of the most influential male country artists of his generation.
Now, in an intimate and powerful new live experience celebrating his latest album Patience Wins, James invites audiences into the heart of his remarkable journey.
This is not just a concert — it’s a night of stories, songs and raw honesty.
Across 34 extraordinary years, 14 studio albums, multiple Golden Guitar Awards and prestigious inductions into the CMAA Roll of Renown and CMC Hall of Fame, James has lived every lyric he sings. He’s known the highs and the heartbreak, the acclaim and the adversity, the love found, lost and found again. And through it all, the music has endured.
In this stripped-back acoustic performance, Blundell returns to what he does best — commanding a stage with nothing but a guitar, a voice, and the truth. Joined by his son, Briar Blundell, the show becomes something even more special: a powerful generational collaboration that blends legacy with new beginnings.
Together — and in solo moments — they perform brand new songs from Patience Wins alongside the classic hits that shaped a career and defined an era of Australian country music.
Expect laughter. Expect reflection. Expect goosebumps.
This is James Blundell up close — authentic, fearless and unforgettable.

This man is an amazing Australian artist. The fans who know James Blundell will always appreciate his songs as they are stories of his journey. The gig at Maroochy RSL was no exception, brilliant acoustic music from James and his son Briar Blundell, with a guest appearance from his younger son Travis. (Whom I might say looks very much like his Dad) The crowd are from all age brackets, Joy who is 75 has been a fan since James was first discovered..... was one very excited lady who had her picture taken with this very sociable muso. James will always stop for a picture & a chat. I’m struggling to say what I enjoyed the most as there were covers of music I’d never heard him play before, and I just loved them all! ‘The Carnival is Over’ by the Seekers got me though, thank you James Blundell. Never know what to expect from this true blue Aussie, slow ballads, country rock and lots of his own music. Just remember to listen between songs as James tells stories of his life & memories of people he’s met.
