Alison got some dope mixes! Concert was lit as hell and everyone was dancing like crazy! Hell of a night and show! I'm definitely looking out for her next tour!
In a music industry that's packed with similar noises, KSHMR's sounds come as a breath of fresh air, but with the ferocity of a sandstorm.
After being able to watch him tear up Echostage in DC, and light up the Circuit Grounds at EDC Las Vegas, I can say that KSHMR is certainly one of my favorite acts to see.
Just when you thought Big Room was dead, KSHMR breathed new life into the sub-genre, and infuses some very complex touches of musicality into the music he plays (do keep in mind that he produces most of the music played during his sets).
The energy of his music, combined with touches of Indian-inspired sounds, definitely makes Niles Hollowell-Dhar (KSHMR), one of the most unique and one of a kind talents one could see play; definitely not an act/dj/producer/musician to be missed if he's in the area.
The location at Pier 17 was sick so was stoked to see Loud Luxury perform. Reason I wanted to see these guys is obvious, because of their recent hit 'Body'. Just because these guys produced a couple good tracks, also 'Love No More', doesn't mean that they can perform well live. That's why I looked up a couple of their mixes on Mixcloud before hand so I can see what they are made of. Not gunna lie, I heard some good songs played by them, even 'Snakes' by Sikdope, so thought these guys were gunna throw down some, especially since they were playing on a rooftop. Left fairly disappointed, these guys did not throw down at all at Pier 17. Was really needing some throw down too because weather was fairly chilly. I'll rate their set a 5.4 out of 10.
