The blues has always had powerful women at its heart — storytellers, soul shakers, truth tellers and groove makers. On Saturday 18 July we're bringing eight of them together for a very special night at Martha Salt Music.
Hosted by Australia's Women In Blues Ambassador Andrea Marr, this showcase celebrates the talent, passion and individuality of women performing across Victoria's blues scene.
Joining Andrea on stage will be a stellar line-up featuring Bronnie Gordon, Christine Manetta, Miss Lizzy, Anthea 'Jewels' and more.
From deep blues and soul to roots, originals and heartfelt storytelling, every artist brings her own unique style, voice and life experience. Some have spent decades on the road, some have found their blues voice later in life, but all share one thing in common — a passion for music that connects directly with the audience.
Backed by a full band and presented in the intimate setting of Martha Salt Music, this promises to be a night full of great songs, laughter, inspiration and plenty of goose bump moments.
