AYANA PLAYLE (@worldplay.le) (she/her)
Ayana is a London-based spoken word poet with a background in theatre, a present-day in publishing, and a future in undecided, who recently became the Brighton Hammer & Tongue Slam champion. She writes and performs to anyone she can hold captive for long enough, often covering subjects of identity, veganism and climate justice, and navigating her twenties. She likes words—both individual and together (mostly together, or these would be very short poems)—works with books, and doesn’t get on much with Mike Stands. Her poetry is sometimes funny, sometimes not, and very often extremely gay.

JESS LEIGH (@jesswritesback) (she/they)
Jess is a Brighton-based queer poet. They spend a lot of time talking about queerness, relationships, inequality, and how we might build kinder, more compassionate communities. The rest of the time she’s writing poems about love, politics, friendship, softness, and the ridiculous business of being alive. They’re interested in the moments where humour and heartbreak sit side by side, and in the idea that tenderness can be quietly radical.

Multi(real)instrumentalist and songwriter based in Brighton! LuanLuan writes their music via a synaesthetic lens, combining a plethora of genres including indie, pop, R&B and soul. A vibrant and rhythmic performer!
