Para One

French electro DJ Para One has a sound that is aggressive and addictive. His work is beat heavy and trippy, making it easy to get lost in his sound for hours at a time. Para One has worked extensively with both vinyl and electronic samples; it is not uncommon to see him demonstrate his proficiency with both during a live set.

A Para One concert has some great structure to it. While he will never bring the energy down to such a level that you would stop moving, he structures his songs so that there are recovery tracks between his heavier, all-or-nothing dance tracks. His skilful planning means that it is rare to see anyone leave during his sets. Para One knows how to read a room and keep the energy levels just right.

“When the Night” is one of my favourite tracks from Para One. His ability to mix his unique style with a more classical funk sound is just awesome. This is a track I could listen to all night.
