David Crosby is a living piece of musical history. To see a man who has done everything from playing the infamous Woodstock festival, to being a part of the Greenwich Village scene that spawned Bob Dylan and Joan Baez (among others) and being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice is an experience in itself. Seeing him performing a quality rock show is just the icing on the cake. The 73 year old is still an engaging and talented performer and is able to string together an exciting set, mixing his seminal work with The Byrds and Crosby, Stills and Nash with his more recent songs. With the roaring guitars and pounding drums the audience can just feel the history with each song he plays making for a confident set that is just as likely to make newer fans happy as it is those that have been around since day one. David Crosby puts on a heck of a show for someone now into his 6th decade of making music and goes to show that rock never dies.
David was at his best with 3 "friends" to make an unforgettable concert. If he is coming to your city, don't miss him, he was fabulous. Played many unknown songs, a few CSN tunes, still has his voice and his friends on guitar, keys, and synthesizer were all just amazing.
I have seen a bunch of concerts. I have seen CSN & CSNY in concert.
Hands down Crosby & present band is the best concert I have ever seen. Every song was better than the original!! How about a live ALBUM. UN (F....ING) BELIEVABLE.
