Biografía
Originally forming as The Tempest in 2004, The Agonist were a studio project made up of bassist Chris Kells, guitarist Danny Marino and lead vocalist Alissa White-Glutz. After working together on and off for a good three years, the band put together their first album “Once Only Imagined” in 2007, and released it the same year via Century Media. Their album was so acclaimed that, with the help of their label, the band recruited Simon McKay to drum for them and were immediately sent out on the road supporting the likes of The Faceless and Enslaved all over the world. The band started building up a cult following and made a reputation for themselves as the next big thing in extreme metal, which came to a head in 2009 with the release of their second album “Lullabies For The Dormant Mind”.
The release of their third album “Prisoners” in 2011 made them cult heroes all over the world, to the extent that by the end of the album’s campaign they were sharing stages with the likes of Danzig and Corrosion of Conformity. It even gave them enough momentum to survive the departure of White-Glutz as she left to join Arch Enemy, whose vocalist Angela Gossow had just departed. The band soon added Vicky Psarakis to the fold as a replacement vocalist and released their most acclaimed album to date, “Eye Of Providence” in July 2014. The band managed to negotiate a potentially career-ending pothole with panache, and they remain at the top of their game all the same. For doing what many bands could never dream of doing, The Agonist come highly recommended.

Top notch! Great performance all around. I was incredibly impressed with the vocals, sound mix, energy of the show, crowd interaction etc.
By far one of the best live screaming performances I've attended. The band hung around at the merch table afterwards and was really friendly. Totally cool show.
