There is a word that sums up what Hooded Fang up ever so well and that is “interesting”. Their opening song is very sort of entrancing with a sonic art swell of music in the beginning, making quite an impression on this audience but not quite winning them over yet. I was going to say don’t push play that won’t win an audience over but it definitely works in EDM. ANYWAY. Hooded Fang. They’re such a fun Canadian indie band that have earned themselves such a reputation for creating obscure music. There are points when they come across as quite a garage rock band making the audiences dance. I think it’s missing the harmonies throughout as it could be ever so slightly dated in all honesty but it works for the audience as they play some of their biggest songs to date such as “Bye Bye Land” and “Tosta Mista”. “Wasteland” concludes this saga of material that completely wins over this audience.
