Biografía
Born the son of infamous Danish pop singer Tommy Seebach in March 1980, before pursuing a solo career, Rasmus, alongside brother Nicolai, founded the production group, Top Notch Music. As a producer Rasmus collaborated with a host of Danish pop artists including Jokeren, Natasja, and B-Boys, before briefly toying with a hip-hop career.
That all changed however when the singer-songwriter issued his debut single “Engel” in 2009. Shooting to the top of the Danish Pop Singles chart, “Engel” proved a smash hit, earning platinum certification, and catapulting Seebach to national notoriety. The Dane subsequently released his 12x platinum, No. 1 album “Rasmus Seebach” later that year. Spending 25 weeks aloft of the Albums Chart, the record spawned the Top 5 follow-up hits “Glad igen”, “Den jeg er”, and “Lidt i fem”.
The singer-songwriter and producer’s sophomore album, “Mer’ end kærlighed” cemented this success in 2011 by once again peaking at No. 1 on the Danish Albums Chart. Released on ArtPeople Records, the album proved Seebach as a single producing machine with the subsequent charting singles “I mine øjne”, “Under stjernerne på himlen”, “Mer’ end kærlighed”, “Lys i din Leijlighed”, “Nangijala”, and “Falder”. In 2012 Seebach collaborated with Lionel Richie on the single “Say You, Say Me”, which appeared on Richie’s 2012 album “Tuskegee”.
The following year the singer issued his third full-length album “Ingen kan love dig i morgen”. Once again rising to No. 1 on the Danish Albums chart, the album produced nine charting singles, a largely unheard-of feat for the modern era. Positively received by critics, the record secured nine-times platinum certification and cemented Seebach’s household-name status.
