For a birthday surprise, my grandmother donated to the local PBS station, KVIE, and got tickets to Ethan's show and one of his albums (from which he played several selection at this performance). Ethan at the Crest in downtown Sacramento just makes sense. This kid has been tickling keys since he was THREE! (At least for this show) Ethan's father ran the video element and put up intermittent clips of Ethan's storied history of meeting with celebrities and his performances at a younger age. Seems like that might be a little cheesy, but I can imagine they have a strong lovign relationship and the warmth of pride you could feel in his father's involvement filled the room.
This kid has talent, people. He asked two members of the audience to join him on stage and, based on their two ring tones, composed a beautiful and fun tune right there on the spot. He also closed the show by playing with a Sacramento-local children's choir. I absolutely adore a traveling artist who involves local talent. He's 15 now so to say he brought energy with him isn't half the story. The boy's got class, style, talent, and an immense appreciation for his medium.
I first saw Ethan on TV when he was about 12/13 yrs old .missed his concert in Sacramento, but got to see him in Grants Pass Oregon finaly ! I got to shake his hand and take a picture with his Grandma .I am 78 yrs old now and hope to see him in concert in 2022. I not only love his music and singing but his sincerity and compassion for helping so many young children .
I saw Ethan at a concert in Bethlehem, PA in April, 2018. What an emotional experience to see and hear such beautiful music sung and written by him. I just love A Reason to Believe and wish I could find it for purchase, but I haven't been to purchase it anywhere. What a God-given genius he is. Janemarie
