Jesus Culture

Jesus Culture began with a special sermon at the Bethel Church in Redding, California. Led by pastor Banning Liebscher, it was special due to its focus on music and its target audience of young people and teenagers. It was a roaring success attended by 500 people, a huge turnout for such a grassroots project. The first Jesus Culture sermons were held at the same venue, but the turnout was getting bigger and bigger, and the Bethel Church could only hold so many people. Taking note that people were travelling across states to attend Jesus Culture, the brains behind the ministry decided to hold the events regularly, and would feature other Christian music artists travelling to perform with them along with its worship leaders.

The events became ever more succesful, and in 2005 they released their first album of songs performed at these sermons, “Forever”. 2005 was also the year that they decided to take the show on the road, shipping up to Atlanta, Georgia to perform to 300 passionate believers. By 2006 they were taking the show all over the country, and ever since then Jesus Culture sermons have been performed all over the world. 2011 saw their first Arena concert in Chicago, Illionois and remain to this day as one of the must see forces in Christian music.
